Reading back from an unsupported device?

Postby Guest » 10 Nov 2011 10:56

I need to read the firmware from a NEC uPD77P20D dsp with on-chip eprom. I have a Dataman-48 but this device is not supported. I have the chip information which tells me how to program and read from the chip. Is there a way I can tell configure the Dataman-48 software to do this?

Chris

Unfortunatly that part is not supported on any of our programmers. There are also no similar devices of which you could tweak the programming perameters.

I will add this part to the request list and pass it on to the engineer.

Hello wicky10,

As mentioned above our programmers do not allow the user to modify the voltage or timings so it is not possible to read data from unsupported devices.

If you can provide details of the device you wish to work with I can look into possible adding the support officially.

If you have any questions, please contact me.

Best regards,
