Altera EPM7128EQI100-20

Postby Guest » 10 Nov 2011 11:00

We have recently purchased the SDP-7128-100Q adapter for the EPM7128EQI100-20 device. We have a Dataman 48LV. When using v4.67 of the software, when I select EPM7128E @100 as the device, the software says:
"This device requires an adapter that is presently not supported. Please refer to the pin-swapping tables in 'ADAPTER.TXT' if you want to construct your own adapater."
I have ignored this message but had problems with messages indicating over-current conditions during programming. I eventually was able to program a device, but the programmed devices do not drive any of the chip's outputs. Does the software really not support the adapter we bought?

Stephen,

Please select EMP 7128S as EPM 7128E @100 in the software.
If no ID error, this is the right selection.
If ID error occurs then change to EMP 7128E@100.
If over current, it means the chip is bad or you have inserted in wrong position.

Hope this helps.

Neil
