Microchip PIC16LF low voltage IC support on Dataman 48UXP

Postby Guest » 10 Nov 2011 11:24

Can anyone let me know when the low voltage PIC16LF series of IC's from Microchip will be supported on the Dataman 48UXP. Did a forum search and found that the S4 programmer supports these (since December 2006) but not the 48UXP.

If not for a while, can I program a PIC16LF818 as a PIC16F818 as I know both support 5v which is the default VDD for the PIC16F, which is supported.

You should be able to program the device using the PIC16F818 algorithm, if you get a device ID error simply disable the device ID check in the options.
