Hi,

Select the device then load your file, go to configuration.

Go to page two and enable the protection from 00000-3FFFFF (32 block)

Then program the chip with protect/configuration option enabled.

Neil

Neil I have ran into a a question concerning this device as well as the M28640FS Tsops as well. I am using your adapters and the 48pro universal programer with current release of software. The issue that I am having is some of the recently purchased tsops are giving me an adapter error after inserting the chips. I sent allmost 1/2 of my order back since these chips apeared to be defective and the distrubutor informed me there was nothing wrong with them and sent them back. I then attempted to use these tsop in another programer made by Xeltek and thier adapter and they worked fine in that programer. I am curious as to why some chips work in the 48pro and others do not.

Is it possible that the chips have changed due to design change from when the software was built for these chips? If not then why would they work fine in one programer and not the other? Mind you this was allmost 1/2 of the tsops that would give an adapter error when these tsops were inserted.

thank you
John W.

John,

I am not aware of a "M28640FS" chip, we don't support such a chip. There exists the M28W640FS, but it is supported in BGA package only, not TSOP.

The chip might be the M28W640CB/CT or M28W640ECB/ECT or M28W640FCB/FCT - these are supported in TSOP package.

Sorry, I'm not able to do much based on this information.

If you can provide more information, at least "PG4UW_LOG_windows_content.txt" file (Help/Create problem report) - which you should do after the problem occurs. Also selftest plus result, this will help us to know about the general health of the programmer.

Regards,

Neil
