Hello Jack,

Just to confirm, you should have the adaptor (DIL16/SOIC16 ZIF 150mil).

Also is your device the 8 or 14 pin SOIC?

Yes I do and it is the 8 pin SOIC. Does an older version of the software have this issue?

Thanks in advance and your prompt attention.

Jack,

We have sample chips in both DIP and SOIC package. We can not recreate such a problem here.
We provide enough current to the chip - the overcurrent limit is set with plenty of headroom.

Therefore I am guessing its a local problem.

a) can you perform the selftest plus to check programmer's health

b) is the chip really OK?

c) is the chip you are trying to program alone or soldered into some board with other components around it?
