Device: Xilinx XC95144XL (ISP)
Programmer: 48Pro2C
I'm trying to connect to this chip and this is the first time I've ever had to use a STAPL/JAM file with Dataman so hopefully I'm doing something dumb.
I've opened iMPACT, added my chip using a bsdl file and created a STAPL/JAM file doing something simple like reading the device ID. I load the file, turn on my board and press the play file button. Both files fail immediately. Here's how they fail:
JAM File: File Execution Failure
STAPL File: (Error)(L:21) SDR Fail
Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Re: Problems using STAPL/JAM file
Hello shenanigans,
Can I ask you to recreate the error you describe and then generate a problem report using the "Create problem report" feature which can be found under the "Help" menu within the main software. If you can email the resulting file on your desktop to me ([email protected]) for analysis, I should be able to help.
If you have any questions, please contact me.
Best regards,
Neil Parker

Re: Problems using STAPL/JAM file
I think I figured out the problem. It seems that there is some contention on the JTAG lines that prevent the signal from being pulled all the way to ground and therefore it's garbage going to the device.
