Hi Guys,
Have I discovered a bug?
Using the latest update of the PG4UW controller software (v2.90) I had occasion to try and reprogram a PIC16F688 while preserving its eeprom contents. I had the system set to erase before programming, blank check before programming, and verify after reading. User program memory and configuration bits were ticked, along with preserve data eeprom (not something I usually do).
The process stopped with a blank check fail, addressed at 21ff.
A blank check on its own passed.
The only way I could continue was to untick the preserve data eeprom, which of course erased the eeprom. Not catastrophic, but annoying...
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Neil

Re: PIKPRO erase check problem
Hello barnacle,
Can I ask you to recreate the problem as you describe and then create a log file of the actions using the "Help | Create problem report" feature. If you can email a copy of this log file to [email protected] we can have a look at it and see exactly what is happening and hopefully find the solution.
