Dataman 48LV and PIC16f87

Postby Guest » 11 Nov 2011 11:05

I have a dataman 48Lv programmer, and lots and lots of the new PIC16f87 (not 870, or 876 ect).
Is it possible to program these devices using my dataman?

Hamish

Basically No.
The D48LV does not support the PIC16F87.

Thanks for letting me know. Will the d48lv ever support the 16f87 (with a possible firmware update for it) or will it always be incompatable ?

Are there any other dataman products that will support this device/ or support is in the pipeline for it?

The D48LV has had all future device support halted, any new devices will be aimed at the D48XP the replacement for the D48LV.

The is an upgrade path available to users with LV units in the form of an upgrade kit. The kit is available from us and is priced at £225 +VAT

I have submitted a support request to the engineers to add the PIC16F87 to the XP. Providing we can get some samples and programming specs they should be supported on the next release of the software which is due out sometime around October.

We are anctious to upgrade out dataman 48lv to the xp version. Do you now support the PIC16f87 device?
