i'm working about 2 - 3 years with DATAMAN-48LV (firmw 2.20 & DatamanWDR.exe 4.67) to program TMS27C512, ST M27C512-12B1, Atmel AT89C5124PC, Philips P87C51SBPN under windows 98se. i never had problems. now i change my computer (laptop hp Omnibook XE3 P3 1066MHz). frequently y receive now error msg on writing or verifying. is it XP, the lpt-settings or something else ???

These error messages are due to you using the Dataman 48LV programmer on the Windows XP operating system. Due to the way that Windows XP dynamically accesses the parallel port, the engineers had to make a hardware upgrade to the Dataman 48 in order for it to communicate with Windows XP reliably. This new product is called the Dataman 48XP. We do however offer a migration path for Dataman 48LV users by way of a hardware upgrade board that fits into your existing programmer. Details of this hardware upgrade board can be found on our website.
This board will ensure that your programmer will operate under Windows XP and will improve its performance by up to 100%.
