Programming 27C1000 and TC571000D fails

Postby durotron » 24 Aug 2012 15:32

Hello!

I have tried to copy Macronix MX 27C1000DC-12 and Toshiba TC571000D-20 EPROMS

When reading out the signature the EPROMS are recognized as Macronic 27C1000 and Toshiba 571000.

Reading out seems to be no problem.
If I try to burn there always an error occurs during comparing. The ROM content up to 7FFF is still FF starting from 8000 the content is what is read out from 0000. So it seems that there is something wrong with adress line A15 which is on PIN 3

I measured the voltage PIN3 to 16 during programming.
THe result is that the voltage rises to 13.05 Volts(same level as VPP) during programming.
So the lower content cannot be selected. Which results in FF from 0000 to 7FFF I think.

Is there something wrong with the linrary (3.00) or is something wrong with my S4. Maybe simply a resistor, diode, Transistor or IC is defective.

Can anyone help me?

Thank you!

Hello durotron,

If you suspect a fault with your S4 programmer then I would advise you to return it to us for repair.

If you can let me know where you are based I can give you the details of where to send the unit and the costs involved.

If you have any questions, please contact me.

Best regards,
