Bug in v2.73 with pic12f629?

Postby Guest » 10 Nov 2011 16:31

I'm using a Dataman 48Pro+ with the latest software v2.73 under Windows Vista 64.

With PIC12F629 as device and code loaded, I click "Program" and then since the "Programming parameters" are all un-checked by default I click "Device operation options" in top left corner of the "Program?" box to set the programming options.

Now I tick the "User program memory and ID locations" , "Data EEPROM memory" and "Configuration bits" boxes and click "OK", but I get an error "Entered VDD value is not allowed!"

I've tried all 3 verify options, as that's the only thing that refers to VDD, but it makes no difference. Whatever I do I can only click cancel and exit without the programming options set, otherwise the "Entered VDD value is not allowed!" error comes up. So I can't program my device with this version of the software.

Actually even just clicking "Device operation options" and then "OK" (without changing anything at all) gives the "Entered VDD values is not allowed!" error, so you can test this without even having a device in the socket.

I'm sure it was OK with version 2.72 so I'm just gonna roll back to that now and try it again, will post my findings...

Yes, just installed the previous version (2.72) and it's working fine, seems there's a bug in 2.73.

We have already fixed it and the updated software will be available today or tomorrow.

I will update this post as soon as the software is available.
