Modern Library

Postby bbncomms » 09 Dec 2013 11:51

I appreciate that the S4 is 'old' now, but I regularly use one on old kit we support.

I have a future requirement for programming a number of 1M bit, 128**8, 32 pin 0.6" plastic devices.

Last time round I was using AMD 29F0101B devices, but these no longer seem to be available. What I can get (I think) are Microchip SST39SF010A-70-4C-PHE or Greenliant GLS27SF010-70-3C-PHE devices.

However neither of these are in the list of devices supported within the 2.93 library. Is there another library that supports either or will it be necessary to consider a newer Programmer?

Thanks in advance for any help or pointers provided

Hello bbncomms,

Both 27SF010 and the 39SF010A device are in fact supported on the S4 under library "S4 8 bit (EEPROM/FLASH/NVRAM) lib. V1.14". This library is available for free download from our website here.

If you have any problems loading the new library or any questions, please let me know.

Best regards
