AT45DB0xxD

Postby chris » 03 Oct 2014 11:24

Hi,

I'm trying to program AT45DB0xxx (where xxx = 11D or 41D or 161E) flash using the 48PRO2 programmer.
I'm facing an issue to read or program the flash. It seems I need to use a special adapter for this (programming adapter DIL8W/SOIC8 ZIF 200mil SFlash-2a).

Could you please confirm?
Is there any solution to avoid using this adapter?

Thank you for your answer,
Regards,

Hello Chris,

In order to read and program the AT45DB0xxx range of devices using the 48Pro2 you will need the (DIL8W/SOIC8 ZIF 200mil SFlash-2a) adaptor socket.

There are two main reasons for using a special adaptor for these devices:
- due to higher programming speeds the programming adapter has to be optimized
- the bypass capacitor is necessary, especially in case of D48Pro2 and above programmers, otherwise the programming is not stable

Above is valid for almost all memories on the D48Pro2 programmer and above models.

Best regards
