Hi All,
I have a battery which has on board BQ20Z45, the life of which is determined date wise by a field on the chip I have mentioned.
I have replaced the cells, so those are good, but now need to get the dates changed to make it good to go. As I have quite a few to do I was thinking to use a dataman 40, with a chip clip to enable firstly the dataman to be able to reprogramme the chip with and the cable to attach the dataman to the chip directly without the need to remove from the board.
I have looked up what I can on doing this, but cannot see that this chip is supported on the dataman programmer, so I presume this is the first question.
And also, does this appear a valid solution to those that may know better.
Many thanks in advance
Rich

Re: Programming BQ20Z45
Hello Richtea1973,
I am afraid that we have been unable to obtain the necessary information about the programming of this chip.
We have asked TI (many times) but they refuse to help.
I can only recommend that you ask TI for help in this case, I am certain they will be able to provide a solution.
Best regards,
