D48 support for ST7?

Postby Guest » 10 Nov 2011 16:55

Any chance of getting the D48LV "universal" programmer to support the ST7 family? It'd need a variant of the SDP-UNIV-42SD adapter, I think...

Cheers

Dataman 48-

"Truly Universal Programming"

The Dataman 48 is a

"universal device programmer"

which works through the centronics printer port of your PC. It features a 48-pin universal pin driver, and an expandable TTL pin driver system.

Intelligent hardware, including microprocessor and FPGA

"allow it to program devices you use today, and the devices of tomorrow"

No it isn't.
No it isn't.
No it doesn't.

I'm NOT happy about this.

Hi,

I am sorry about this lack of support on this family, however we do have reasons for this. This chip has a very compicated algorithm and the documentation for it is not very clear and ST do not give us good support, also it does not come in a standard package and so a variety of different adaptors are required.

The business decision that we have taken then is not to include support for this chip but put all of our efforts into supporting as many other devices as we can, no company can support all the chips on the market and so we have to choose what to support according to the situation.

Best regards,

Neil
