Hello Everybody
I am trying to program a PIC16F84 with a Dataman 48 on a laptop with XP, I get verify and other errors. When I move the programmer to a laptop with Win98 all is well. The XP laptop is an Athlon 1G4 and the Win98 laptop is a Pentium 133M.

Hi there,
You require the Windows XP upgrade board for your Dataman 48, this will improve the performance of the programmer and make it Windows XP compatable. Please contact us direct for more information.
Best regards,
Neil

Hi.
I don't understand why an hardware update is required to use winXP.
It's only a driver problem.
All devices can accept winXP without hardware add-on.
I think that's a soluce for you to make money.

Dear Sir,
Our engineers had difficulty getting the hardware for the Dataman 48XP to work correctly with Windows XP hence the required upgrade.
The previous version of the Dataman 48LV stayed up to date for over 5 years , and the Dataman 48XP will be bang up to date for at least another 5 years.
It is a simple one time upgrade that will allow this and it will also improve the performance of your exisiting programmer by up to 100%. This is really quite reasonable when you think how often you have to upgrade other computer equipment just to stay up to date.
I hope that this explanation is satisfactory.
Regards,
Neil
