Hi there,

The latest software for the Dataman 48XP will be availalable after Jan 20th free from our website, this will include support for this device.

You will however require the Dataman 48 XP upgrade board to be able to program this chip. We have these boards in stock right now.

Regards,

Neil

Hi,

It's abnormal that software update require expansive and useless hardware update.

Hi,

The XP upgrade board not only enables the programmer to work under Windows XP, but also generally improves the performance of the programmer by up to 100%.

The XP board also makes the programming adapters more universal for example, the SDP-UNIV-48TS adapter covers a range of adapters in the same package but with less number of pins. Whereas before you had to buy specific adapters for devices with different no. pins in the same package.

Therefore if you are likely to program a variety of chips in different packages, the XP board pays for itself on the saving you make on purchasing less programming adapters.

Best regards,

Neil
