Help error on MC705C8ACPE

I am trying to read this chip and get an error device does not respond. Please help new to programmers and not sure how to get it to read. I have a dataman 48pro2 which supports this chip. Thank you in advance.

Hello techmike,
Can I ask you to recreate the error and then use the [Help | Create problem report] feature which will dump all the log window information into a file on your desktop. If you could then email this file to
[email protected] I can analyse the contents and hopefully be able to offer a solution.

Hello techmike,
We have tested our samples of this device and checked the algorithm in detail. All seems to be O.K. here in our lab.
Are you sure that you are working with the MC705C8ACPE (in DIL package) and that it is placed into the programmer's ZIF socket correctly?
Last question, is the MC705C8ACPE device new or used?
