To dataman staff,

I have just purchased the dataman 84pin plcc, adapter for the 87c196mc/87c196mh, however it does not work on the 87c196kn(over current detected), in investigation into this found the the 'kn' part has a marginally different pinout

EVENTULLY I TURNED THE 87C196KN UPSIDE DOWN and it said "device code unmatched"

can you please email me a fix for the dataman software so i can read the chip

Those chips are over 15 years old and almost obsolete. If they are not supported in the software now they are not likely to be.

Sorry, but we have to draw the line somewhere.
