Our Engineer Joe has responded to your question. I will paste his reply here.
Question: are the project files for the Dataman-48UXP and the Dataman-48Pro/40Pro compatible?
They are not compatible. The differences are:
The UXP is stored in binary
The 40Pro & 48Pro are stored in binary and ASCII
The internal file formats are not compatible
