Hi does anybody know if there is an alternative chip number to program a Winbond W49F020T as the 48LV dosn't have it in the database.

Hi Skypilot,

The closest match in the D48LV (v4.67) software is the Atmel AT49F020/P/J/E. I would give this selection a go and ignore any Device ID or Manufacturer ID unmatched errors and see how you get on.
