Hi

I am currently using a simple hand-held device to program serial eproms. I have never had a problem with this gadget, it is able to program 93x family perfectly well - except it would not read a 93c66 DIP eprom for some reason. It has however read 93c66 SMD eproms with no problem in the past.

I have little knowledge of eproms and wonder if the S4 will be able to read this eprom and why my handheld device would not?

I cannot comment on your handheld programmer but I can say that the S4 will read/write to the 93C66 serial device. You will need the serial module which is available from us and priced at £75 + VAT
