AT29C256, AT29C512

Postby Guest » 14 Nov 2011 15:13

The AT29C256 and the AT29C512 Flash ROMs are supportable devices according to the lib on my S4, and in fact, I am able to erase them. However, I am unable to program them. Since these are 'used' chips, I suspect that software protection has been enabled. Am I correct in assuming, then, that the Atmel flash programming algorithm used by the S4 does not incorporate the routine needed to bypass this protection? Can someone help me?

Hi,

Before programming the chips, use FUNC QUICK and select DATA PROTECT OFF (Press ENTER). Then you can program chip.
Let me know if this helps - for both devices.

Neil
