I can't program this device with S4 and the 8-Bit Flash/Eprom Library V1.11. The Signature of this Chip is: A35F

If there an possibility to program this flash? (Compatible programming algorithm flash-types?)

I cannot find the "A" devices on the SST website. Where did you buy them from?
Do you have a datasheet for the parts?

But datasheets downloading from ChipDocs is only for members.

Sorry but my Flash didn't have this 'a' extension!
That was a big mistake by me!

(i was sitting i my company without having the flash by hand but i knew most of the partname, so i gooogled them and posted this devicename!)

Hi,

You can select SST 39SF040 manually. The ID you read from S4 is not correct.
S4 does not support so-called software ID.

First erase by FUNC BURN, then check by TEST to see if it is blank.

Then BURN.

It works here.
