Hi,
One question about how to send binary data to the S4.
I’m working with my own software, but I’m unable to send binary data when the start address is specified with 5 digits and the start address is other than 0000.

By example, if I send the command “RE 0000,07FFF”, all is Ok
But if I send “RE 10000,07FFF”, the S4 is unable to receive my data.

It is possible to send data to the S4 specifying another start address than 0x0000 and with 5 digits?

Hello Joaquin,

The S4 requires the start address of the file and the end address. 10000,07FFF is not valid as the start address is higher than the end address. If you were to specify 10000,7FFFF then this would work.

Sorry, but in my last message I made a typographic mistake. The correct sentence is “RE 10000,17FFF”.

Concretely, if I send to programmer these sentences:

“RE 0000 , 07FFF” + 32Kbytes of data. Ok. Any problem.
“RE 8000 , 0FFFF” + 32 Kbytes of data. Ok. Any Problem.
“RE 10000 , 17FFF” +32 Kbytes of data. FAIL.
“RE 00000 , 07FFF” +32 Kbytes of data. FAIL.

I don’t know, but it seems that my S4 fails when receive a Start Address with 5 digits.
Any idea?

There does appear to be a problem with the handling of 5 address digits. We are working on a solution and will post here when I have further information.
