Microchip PIC16LF low voltage IC support on Dataman 48UXP

Can anyone let me know when the low voltage PIC16LF series of IC's from Microchip will be supported on the Dataman 48UXP. Did a forum search and found that the S4 programmer supports these (since December 2006) but not the 48UXP.

If not for a while, can I program a PIC16LF818 as a PIC16F818 as I know both support 5v which is the default VDD for the PIC16F, which is supported.

You should be able to program the device using the PIC16F818 algorithm, if you get a device ID error simply disable the device ID check in the options.
