Is ATMEL ATF2500C fully supported on 48UXP?

Postby Billy Crowson » 11 Sep 2022 10:05

Hi Dataman,

Looking to make use of ATMEL ATF2500C CPLD. In the version 13 device list, I notice that ATF2500C is not listed but that its earlier versions ATV2500B/BQ/BQL/H/L are. From reading the datasheet it seems to me that if I program the ATF2500C as one of the earlier versions I lose the pin-keeper function and access to the user fuses. Am I reading that right? Is it possible to add direct ATF2500C support in a future update to the 48UXP software?

A similar situation exists for the ATF750C (which I also use). But in that case, the ATF750C is directly supported by the 48UXP software, as is its ATV750 predecessors.

Thank you,
William (Billy) Crowson

Hello Billy Crowson,

I have talked with our engineers about implementing the programming support for the ATF2500C device on the 48UXP, this request has come up before, but our engineers were unable to locate the programming specification. Without this information it is not possible to add the support. Due to the age of this device the manufacturer is unable to help us. Sorry.

There is another programmer model that we off which already supports the ATF2500C device. The Dataman-48Pro2 supports this device in DIP40 / LCC44 and PLCC44 packages. Please take a look at the programmer specification on our website here: https://www.dataman.com/universal/datam ... ammer.html

If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Best regards,

Neil Parker
