Hello Midge19641,

I'm not familiar with the SAF file format. Typically, we require files in the Motorola HEX format, indicated by the file extension *.S19, to process data. It's difficult to respond to your inquiry without knowing the format of the data in your files, specifically boot.hex, eeprom.hex, and appl.hex.

Are you able to provide more information?

Best regards,

Thanks Neil. I made a type. its a 'SAP' (Stand alone program) file. This is something created with the Cyclone. I think the Hex files are standard Motorola format. Is it a matter of knowing the location for the boot, eeprom & main & tehn programming the seperate hex at these location or is this not poss?

Hello Midge19641,

You can use the Pg4uw software and load your file using the automatic file recognition. Our software will tell you what format the contents of the file are in.
The file extension can be misleading. If I rename boot.hex file to boot.bin, the content will still be in HEX format.

Implementation of the MC912DG128A in our software is standard, and the same as other device programmers. I agree that it is not a simple device and some familiarity with it is necessary to be able to work with it.

We don't know what a .sap file is. The .phy extension might be the source code in Phyton.

If you are able to email me the files for examination then please send them to [email protected] and I will take a look.

Best regards,

Neil Parker
