48LV PIC16F505 Device Support.

Hi, I have the 48LV programmer and the latest supported device list has PIC16C505 supported in the list. An OTP part.

I have the multiple flash variant PIC16F505. I was wondering can I use the PIC16C505 setting to program the PIC16F505?

Hello shagster1974,

Unfortunately not. The 26C505 is CMOS based whereas the 16F505 is FLASH based and requires a different programming algorithm.

In order to program the PIC16F505 device you would need to purchase a new programmer model such as the Dataman-40Pro or the more capable, Dataman-48Pro2.

Both programmers are available from stock ready for same day dispatch.
