programming PLCC-32

Postby ldhehn » 19 Jan 2015 19:16

We have a S4 programmer and we would like to program some PLCC chips. We are not familiar with programming these kind of chips and would like to know if it can be done and what we need to purchase and how to program them. The chip is a 29vf040-70-4I-nh. Thanks for any help.

Hello ldhehn,

The 29VF040 is a low voltage device 2.7 - 3.6V, S4 is strictly a 5V and above programmer.

In order to read and program the 29VF040 device in the PLCC32 package I would recommend the Dataman-40Pro and the DIL32/PLCC32 ZIF-CS adaptor socket.

I believe the Dataman 40Pro to be the best in its class on the market worldwide at the moment. The Dataman 40Pro offers fast programming speeds and includes advanced features such as ISP capability, USB 2.0 interface and comprehensive software compatible with Windows 2000, 2003, XP, Vista, 7 and 8. The Dataman 40Pro supports over 31,900 devices which is updated every 3 - 4 weeks with each update adding hundreds of new chips. Support can be added for missing devices quickly and typically free of charge.

The programmer comes as standard with our 3 year parts and labour warranty, free life-time technical support and software updates. Further information can be found on our website.

We offer a 30 day no quibble money back guarantee with this programmer, however to date we have never had one returned, and quite honestly I do not expect to.

The Dataman 40Pro programmer and mentioned adaptor socket are currently available from stock.

If you would like a formal quotation for the programmer and adaptor or just the adaptor socket, please let me know.

Best regards,

Neil Parker

Thank you for the information. That is what I needed to know. I will get back with you if we decide to update to a newer programmer.
