If you really do have the original Dataman-48 and not the Dataman-48LV then there is no longer any possibility of upgrading it to the latest Dataman-48UXP model. The Dataman-48UXP model itself was discontinued in December 2023, however, we are still supporting it through the software with bug fixes and new chip support.
We can offer a trade-in option which would give you a small discount off one of our current programmer models. I would recommend the
Dataman-48Pro2 which is out best selling and most capable programmer. It supports over 135,800 chips and counting.

You can download and run the
control software for the 48Pro2 programmer. It will run unrestricted in DEMO mode allowing you get a feel for the interface, select your chip, and load your programming data into the buffer.
