The Dataman-48XP programmer uses the parallel port in a slightly non-standard way. This means that the programmer will only work over a parallel port that is part of the PC/laptop motherboard. We have not found any USB-to-parallel, PCI/PCI express-to-parallel solution that works with this programmer.
As the UXP upgrade kit (adds a USB port) for this programmer is no longer available the only option is to locate a pc/laptop with a built in parallel port.
If you are looking for a replacement programmer with USB support and OS support from Windows XP to Windows 11, then I would recommend considering the
