renesas r5f21258

Hello.I have a mainboard to reprogram with r5f21258 .the connector to do the job have only
vcc gnd reset and mode connected to micro.the my dataman need to connect more pin.
how can i do the reprogramming without solder a more wire?

Hello totore69,

The "Device info" for the R5F21258SNFP (ISP-single wire) implementation describes the following signals:

1 - Target VCC check only
2 - MODE
3 - GND (VSS)
4 - Reset

Please double check the situation and let me know if you have any further questions about using this ISP support.

Hello I have same trouble with ISP connector of BeeProg2 programmer.
Is not clear for me how connect my programmer with recommended target circuit design to mcu.
Sorry for my poor English
I 'ld like connect the programmer without using 2 wire interface

Hello totore69,

Please tell me which signals you have available on your PCB/MCU.

We support the R5F21258SNFP device in two ISP modes:

R5F21258SNFP (ISP)
and
R5F21258SNFP (ISP-single wire)

Please check the software for the full ISP connection details under the "Device info" section.

Depending on which signals you have access to on your PCB/MCU you must chose the appropriate selection in the software.

Device info of r5f21258 ( r8c/25 ) don't have txd and rxd description.Regards

Description of ISP connector pins:
1 - Target VCC check only
2 - GND (VSS)
3 - Don't connect!
4 - GND (VSS)
5 - MODE
6 - GND (VSS)
7 - RESET

9 - RxD (pin P0_0 for R8C/10, pin P4_5 for R8C/14,15,1A,1B,26,27,28,29 group, pin P1_5 for R8C/33,34,35,36 group, pin P1_6 for R8C/M1,M13B group, pin P8_6 for R8C/LAPR, LA3A, LA5A, LA8A group, pin P6_7 for R8C/20,21,2A,2B group, pin P13_2 for R8C/L3xC group)
10 - GND (VSS)
11 - Xin
12 - GND (VSS)

Notes:
*1 Programmer can provide a power supply for the target system.
